The Vampire Dimitri by Colleen Gleason

Goodreads Description:

Dimitri, also known as the Earl of Corvindale, should be delighted that the headstrong Maia Woodmore is getting married. His mortal ward and houseguest has annoyed—and bewitched—the Dracule nobleman too long, and denying his animal cravings grows more excruciating by the day.
Miss Woodmore's family has a rather…complicated history with the immortals and she herself possesses a keen sensibility far beyond mere women's intuition. Marriage will give her safety, respectability and everything else a proper young lady could wish for. Everything, that is, except passion.
In the looming battle between Dracule factions, all pretenses will shatter as Maia and Dimitri come together in an unholy union of danger, desperation and fiercest desire.

My Rating: 4 out of 5

My Review:

All in all a good read.  By the end I was turning the pages as fast as I could read them.  The beginning is a different story however.  It takes you through the latter half of the events from the first book through the eyes of Maia and Dimitri.  Interesting but a little confusing at times and boring at others.  However I will say that after about a quarter of the book it picks up to a great pace and the story line is wonderful.  The author created an interesting story line, the mystery and romance both equally fantastic!  I would recommend to anyone who enjoyed the first book in the series as well to anyone who loves a good paranormal romance an mystery!

A Wallflower Christmas by Lisa Kleypas

Goodreads Description:

It's Christmastime in London and Rafe Bowman has arrived from America for his arranged meeting with Natalie Blandford, the very proper and beautiful daughter of Lady and Lord Blandford. His chiseled good looks and imposing physique are sure to impress the lady-in-waiting, and if it weren't for his shocking American ways and wild reputation, her hand would already be guaranteed.
Before the courtship can begin, Rafe realizes he must learn the rules of London society. But when four former Wallflowers try their hand at matchmaking, no one knows what will happen. And winning a bride turns out to be more complicated than Rafe Bowman anticipated, especially for a man accustomed to getting anything he wants.

However, Christmas works in the most unexpected ways, changing a cynic to a romantic and inspiring passion in the most timid of hearts.

My Rating: 5 out of 5

My Review:

Great read, and I enjoyed getting one last glimpse into the Wallflowers lives.  That made me very happy to see.  I will miss the characters.  I enjoyed the romance in this story as well, though predictable.  It was written very well and there were some twists to try to keep the reader on the end of their seat!  If you enjoyed the other Wallflower stories, this one will not disappoint!

My Rating: 4 out of 5

My Review:

I enjoyed this read.  I did have some issues at parts but in whole I have to say it was a great read.  With out giving spoilers I can't really go into what I had some issues with but I'll try.  For one thing I went through almost the whole book wondering what was going on with the Collar.  Did Dakota get the key and switch it out for a new one or what.  It is answered as a sort of last thought in the last few pages of the book and it didn't flow for me.  I also had an issue with the secret agent man and Dakota.  I didn't like how that ended.  I can only hope that there is something more in the next book to answer my questions.  BUT those were my only two issues.  I loved the mystery, I loved the twists and turns and the reveal!  I was very fascinated with the idea of magical tattoos and I enjoyed Dakota's expansion on her knowledge and skills and can't wait to see how she grows in the next book. I also am very eager to see how Cinnamon develops! All an all a good read and first I can't wait to read more from this author and I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a paranormal mystery!

But Penelope is no ordinary woman, and she's never met the man strong enough to contend with her unusual abilities. Until now...

My Rating: 5 out of 5

My Review:

I have to say this was written very well!  It had me on the edge of my seat waiting to see how the mystery unfolded and what would happen to Ashton and Penelope.  I loved how it wasn't just a mystery solved and straight to happy ending.  They are boring and seem like a cop out to me. This book had a lot of though put into it and a lot of curves to hide how Pen and Ashton would solve and prove the mysteries involved (intentionally vague as to not give spoilers!)  I really am starting to love the Wherlocke family and can't wait to get my hands on the third book in the series, If He's Wild!  I absolutely love Hannah Howell and to be honest has read almost all of her books with the exception of about 5.  But I will be getting my hands on those soon too!  So of course I will highly endorse anyone to read her romances.  There are great romances, mystery and emotion in every book!

Much Ado About You by Eloisa James

Goodreads Description:

When you're the oldest daughter, you don't get to have any fun!
Witty, orphaned Tess Essex faces her duty: marry well and marry quickly, so she can arrange matches for her three sisters -- beautiful Annabel, romantic Imogen and practical Josie. After all, right now they're under the rather awkward guardianship of the perpetually tipsy Duke of Holbrook. But just when she begins to think that all might end well, one of her sisters bolts with a horse-mad young lord, and her own fiancé just plain runs away.
Which leaves Tess contemplating marriage to the sort of man she wishes to avoid -- one of London's most infamous rakes. Lucius Felton is a rogue whose own mother considers him irredeemable! He's delicious, Annabel points out. And he's rich, Josie notes. But although Tess finally consents to marry him, it may be for the worst reason of all. Absurd as she knows it to be, she may have fallen utterly in love . . .

My Rating: 4.5 out of 5

My Review:

I really enjoyed this book. It wasn't just a fluff romance but had depth and made me feel a wide range of emotions.  I also highly enjoyed the different stories of the sisters intermingling with in this book.  You get a glimpse of each sister, their personality, and you form a opinion and connection to them all.  Great tactic cause it draws you in to want to read the other books in the Bride Quartet to see what happens to the other sisters.  At least it has for me!  I can't wait to see what happens with Annabel, Josie, and most importantly Imogen.  I won't give any spoilers but my heart breaks for her and I hope she finds happiness in one of the other books.  YET AGAIN another wonderful Eloisa James book!

Eragon may not escape with even his life

My Rating: 3.5 out of 5

My Review:

Certainly a great read just like the first.  You learn a lot about what it means to be a rider when Eragon is training with the elves.  There are a ton of twists that you could predict and couldn't see coming!  I do have to say I didn't have a problem putting this book down and walking away and reading bits and pieces at a time.  It wasn't a gripping read it all in one sitting type of book.  I can say however that I can't wait to get a hand on the next book in the series, Brisingr, to see what happens.  The fourth in the series, Inheritance, is being released in November of 2011.

My Rating: 3 out of 5

My Review:

I enjoyed the romance and heat between Nigel an Felicity.  I interactions between the two are funny and frustrating at times.  I got a little sick of their almost making up then comes a surprise and they fight and separate.  It happens a few times in the story and by the end I was saying enough already.  Though I do quite love the ending.  And over all it's a great story and great second story in the series.  I am very interested to see how the series ends and how the next two bachelors meet their 'fate'

My Rating: 5 out of 5

My Review:

Wow!  A fantastic ending to the Trilogy!  I do wish I could see into the future for the three sisters!  I got so absorbed into the charters and their lives!  Amazing writing once again for Nora Roberts!  I felt every emotion and I cried a few times from happiness and sadness!  I loved the mystical curve in this book and how it ties Shannon and Murphy together!  I think the ending of this book is one of the most romantic and emotional endings I've read in a while!  I absolutely loved this trilogy!

My Rating: 4 out of 5

My Review:

Brianna and Grayson's story is wonderful.  A great story just like the first in the series.  I loved the amount of different emotions and I will admit I cried a few times.  Very powerfully written story that had me experience a lot of different emotions.  I enjoyed Grayson's back story and Brianna coming to terms with the her mother.  I loved the twists Brianna found in the attic.  I can't wait to see where the letters lead! I definitely recommend.

Born In Fire by Nora Roberts

Description on Nora Roberts Site:

Margaret Mary Concannon is a glass artist with an independent streak as fierce as her volatile temper. It’s no surprise that her relationship with the sophisticated Dublin gallery owner Rogan Sweeney won’t be peaceful.

My Rating: 4 out of 5

My Review::
Nora Roberts again writes an amazing romance with a great story.  I loved Maggie Mae and her strength and also her obviously weakness that she doesn't understand till the end.  I really loved reading about the glass making but I felt it was a little technical sometimes and took away from the story and that's the ONLY reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 instead of a 5 out of a 5.  I can't wait to read the next two in the Irish Born Trilogy.  I'm never let down with Nora Roberts!
